My friend, Keith, (live) in Dubai and (work) as an English teacher in one of the private schools there for twenty years before he (decide) he (want) to return to England for good. He (has) often (discuss) of retiring in England and (plan) to buy a small collage for his wife and himself in the country. A few weeks after he (arrive) back home he (buy) a beautiful cottage in the outskirts of Birmingham. Almost immediately, he (begin) to grumble about the weather, for even though it was still summer time, it (rain) continuously and it (be) often bitterly cold. After so many years of extreme heat and sunshine, Keith was (disappoint). He acted as if he never (live) in England before. In the end, it was all too much for him. He (have) hardly had time to settle down when he (sell) the cottage and (leave) the country. The dream he (have) for so many years (end) there. Keith had (think) of everything except the weather.
