Burabay is a blessed land of silence, crystal clear air, blue mountains and emerald lakes.
Burabay-this is the name of the Kazakh tract, where, according to folk legend, the prophetic camel – Bura settled forever.
Our region appeared 5 million years ago, according to scientists, as a result of the beginning of mountain formation.
Hundreds of millions of years ago, in the Paleozoic, the territory of present-day Burabay was under the sea.
But in the era of the Hercynian folding, the sea floor reared up, somewhere at a great depth mountain formation began and the sea began to become shallow, and then completely disappeared, only a scattering of lakes and lagoons remained on the surface.
Millions of years passed, and again the earth shuddered at the depth, breaking through cracks, and rivers of molten menite and granite poured powerfully underground, crushing and melting sedimentary strata. In numerous cracks that cut through the thickness of sedimentary rocks, hot rock mass invaded, forming veins of granite, pegmatite, porphyry.
Once again, the territory of Burabay was under the sea, which continued to destroy the thickness of sedimentary rocks, and subsequently glaciers crept into these places.
After the ice age, the sedimentary layer thinned, and eruptions of bedrock appeared on the surface of the day. Gradually, water, wind, cold and heat so finished the strongest stone mattresses that people who came here began to think that the all-powerful, with a rich invention, the sculptor applied his powerful chisel to the granite rocks.
On the hillside of Cyanosis was found the cave of prehistoric man, which, unfortunately, was swamped. Mammoth tusks were found at the bottom of lake Kotyrkol.
