There are poems, painting, novels, films and musicals about the knights of the Round Table. Even a Disney cartoon about King Arthur, “The Sword in the Stone”, was produced. Nowadays he has become the symbol of courage, strength and goodness.

The story about King Arthur and his knights is very old. They say that there was a king in Britain between the years of 400 and 600. He fought the Saxons successfully and perhaps he was Arthur. It is quite possible that he lived in Wales or in the west of England.

There are many legends about him and few facts. Many poems were written about them in the Middle Ages and later. Not every book about King Arthur and his knights has the same people and stories in it. Writers tried to make the stories more interesting and more exciting.

Last week I had an intresting day... It started in the morning. I was really sleeppy, but I could see very strange clouds. One was as a horse, others were also strange... I had breakfast, that for me was strange, too.

"Too much strange things today" thought I. Then I did my homework. Some tasks were difficult, but many of them were easy. In two hours I have done my homework so I went out with my friends.

We played so interesting games. I always was a winner! We played much time, but it was evening, so I had to go back home. At home was a very pretty animal! "I haven't seen such an animal before! I want to play with you!

"When are you going to get up" - said mom. She was really angry! "You are going to late to school!"

"It was a dream? It's a pity! It was so interesting"...

It goes without saying that every person needs entertainment and enjoyment, free time and rest after hard work or sudy. All our activities can be divided into physical, intellectual and mental activities. Scientists prove that we can benefit from combining activities of different kinds as much as from having a rest. I study hard at school to achieve high results and get knowledge. I think that would have been impossible without activities I do in my free time. If you ask me how I usually spend my leisure time, I can say that I listen to music, spend time with my friends, cook or read books. Modern music is one of the things that makes me forget about everything. I like to listen to new records, tapes or compact disks of my favorite bands and to sing to myself when nobody hears me. Among my friends there are some who are also interested in music. Cooking is also one of my hobbies/ As for me, it is very interesting to create something very tasteful and looking attractive with irresistible flavour for the whole family. This hobby will be very helpful when becoming an adult and it may even be your second proffesion. One can't imagine modern life without books. I am not an exception. Reading is one of my favorite past times. Books help me to go away from life problems, to get into another world. Books pass over to us the knowledge and experience of previous generations, broaden our scope of vision. Regular reading enriches your knowledge about the world and helps to form your personality. The book is a faithful and undemanding friend of yours.
