I spent these winter holidays in the city. The holidays began a few days before the New Year, and it seemed to me that they would go very long. Before the New Year a lot of snow fell, which gave winter, especially, a fabulous view. We celebrated New Year at home with the whole family. And although I no longer believe in fairy tales, I wanted some kind of miracle or magic. And so it happened!
Rather, it was a strange coincidence. On that day, when, on the eve of the holiday, my mother was busy in the kitchen for a long time, and my father and I dressed up a Christmas tree, the doorbell suddenly rang. We waited for Grandma and Grandpa, and so I ran to open the door. I looked into the peephole and could not believe my eyes. Behind the door stood a real Santa Claus in a red coat and with a huge beard, and next to him was a Snow Maiden with a blond braid. Why I immediately thought this, because the last time it was unsuccessfully disguised dad. Everything turned out to be easier than it could be. Santa Claus and Snow Maiden turned out to be actors who made a mistake in the apartment, but I did get a magic candy.
The first days of the winter holidays in January were sunny and very frosty. These days it was great to walk outside and play various winter fun games. However, it was not possible to blind the snowman, because in such cold weather the snow turned out to be loose and not at all sticky. After such fun walks, it was especially pleasant to be at home, where my mother’s hot lunch was waiting for me. In the evenings, dad and I read books and played board games, which turned out to be much more interesting than a computer.
Pilaf with fragrant saffron, juicy kebab seasoned with sumak, bouglama and levengi — fish dishes, sweet shekbur pies for dessert, filled with fresh fruit and vegetables, a table and under a curtain of sweet and sour sorbet as a soft drink - all this is a diverse and distinctive Azerbaijani kitchen.
The Azerbaijani cuisine is not exactly experiencing the lack of recipes and ingredients: the mountainous and subtropical climate of the country perfectly supplies its inhabitants with everything necessary for preparing tasty and healthy food - not without reason Azerbaijan is considered the land of long-livers. The dishes of the Azerbaijani cuisine are prepared from beef and lamb, poultry and fish, fruits and vegetables, with the obligatory addition of fresh greens, as well as aromatic spices.
Вот и перевод. Наверное понадобится.
