This is my classmate Raj. whose parents are from the city of Agra in India. He's longing to become a computer programmer. His hunger
for knowledge and determination to be good at computer programming
has contributed to his most recent success in the competition
"International Olympiad in Computer Programming". He took the
first place out of participants from 15 countries. He got a trophy for
winning the competition. Raj believes determination is key to success.
Raj was firm to reach his goal to participate in the competition by
working hard every day. He's an excellent example for us to follow.​

There is no doubt that the invention of the car changed the world. The invention of the car offers a possible solution to the problem with transport. Also I can say that it changed the world positively but negatively, too.

The positive of the invention is that modern traffic is faster than traffic in the past. The traveling rised when the car was invented. Many products in shops that we like to buy we can get only thanks to cars, because cars make transport better. People like using their cars because they are comfortable and they can move us in a short time. The negative side of this invention is pollution. Many people suffer from different  illnesses caused by pollution and from stress made by noise from cars.

So, the invention of the car had really changed the world in both ways, positive and negative. It gave us a chance to travel with comfort but it also brought stress and illnesses in our life.

This holiday started in Ireland. Halloween was originally a festival of the dead. It is celebrated on the 31st of October. Halloween means All Hallows Eve. You know, the 1st of November is All Hallows Day (День всех святых). People thought that the evening (eve) before is the time when the veil between the living and the dead is lifted and witches, ghosts and other supernatural beings are about. So this holiday is associated with death and supernatural. It is very popular with children and teenagers especially in America.
It is the only time in autumn before the cold days begin when it is still warm enough to go outside and enjoy the beauty of autumn. On that day children wear unusual costumes and masks. They DRESS up as witches, ghosts, ghouls, bats, evil spirits, skeletons and frighten people. They say “Trick or Treat”. If they get a treat, they go away. But if they don’t, they play tricks.
The main attribute of Halloween is Jack-O`Lantern (Фонарь Джека) or hollowed-out pumpkin. It is cut up to look like a frightening face and a candle is placed inside.
