I heard a tap at the window when I was just getting into bed.
I decided to ignore it. But after a while I heard it again.
I switched the light off as soon as I heard a scratching sound coming from the wall.
I got up. By the time I went over to the window, the sound had stopped.
I tried to wake the neighbours up. But later I finally decided to call the police.
