John's day begins at 7 o'clock in the morning when he gets up. Sometimes it is dark in the street. John doesn't like it. He has a shower, sometimes a cold shower, dresses in the bedroom and has breakfast. He often has tea or milk and eggs for breakfast. At 8 o'clock he goes to school. John is a good pupil. He is always on time. At 1 o'clock he has lunch at school. At 4 o'clock his classes finish. But John doesn't go home. He and his friends play football or tennis. They finish playing at 5 and go home

1. The house and the garage were destroyed by the fire. 2. Either the manager or his secretary are always in the office. 3. Either you or John has lost my knife. 4. Everybody knows about it. 5. Every student was informed of it. 6. We found that not one of the cases was broken. 7. Each of us have special tasks to perform. 8. Everyone in the room was surprised to hear it. 9. The city with its suburbs has a population of over two million.

10. There is a table and four chairs in each room. 11. There are four chairs in each room. 12. Neither of these plans satisfy us. 13. Neither the barley nor the wheat is ready for harvest. 14. The goods are ready for shipment. 15. Someone (is) waiting for you in the entrance hall. 16. Neither my book nor yours is here.
