Marco Polo is the Italian merchant and the traveler who has presented history of the travel across Asia in the well-known "Book about a variety of the world". Despite the doubts in reliability of the facts stated in this book, stated from the moment of her emergence till present time she is a valuable source of knowledge of geography, ethnography, history of Armenia, Iran, China, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, India, Indonesia and other countries in the Middle Ages.
