READING COMPREHENSION

There was a small shop in a little street in an old town. In the shop there were beautiful things made of silver and gold. The small shop had a door that opened on the little street. The shopkeeper was standing at the open door.

“Come and buy! Come and buy!” called the shopkeeper. “Come into my shop and see all the beautiful things!” again he called. “Come in!

I shall show you beautiful things made of silver and gold.”

One day the shopkeeper had to go away to the king’s palace. The king wanted a beautiful gold ring and a silver cup from the shop. The shopkeeper called the boy who work for him. “I’m going to the king’s palace,” he said. “You must stay here. Do not leave the door of the shop whatever happens. Do you understand?”

“Yes, I understand,” said the boy.

The shopkeeper went away, and soon he came to the king’s palace. He gave the king, the ring and the cup. Then he went home. Soon he was back at his shop. He stopped and looked up in astonishment. “What is this?” he cried. “Why are so many people going into my shop?” Then the shopkeeper saw that the door of the shop was gone and so was the boy who work for him.

Just then, the shopkeeper saw the boy. He was in the street near the shop. The boy had the shop door on his back. He was standing in the square looking at some men who were doing tricks.

The shopkeeper ran to the boy. “I told you not to leave my shop,” he cried.

“No,” said the boy. “You told me not to leave the door. I did just as you said. I did not leave the door. I have the door here with me.”

Astrakhan
The city, which stands on the banks of the Volga. We lived in a hotel "Azimuth". A good hotel, but it is clear that it only began reshaping of the scoop to the civilized. Rooms are not yet altered, so they do not look very aesthetically pleasing. But the window opens a wonderful view of the Volga. The hotel has free wifi, right up to the 7th floor is not always a good thing to achieve. The hotel has a very good restaurant. Also nearby there are a few not bad restaurants.

Probably better to go to Astrakhan in the summer or spring, but there were circumstances and we were in the city in February. Everyone who thinks that Astrakhan - a southern city, and it's warm I can report that we were freezing in the "warm" city. Despite the fact that the temperature was only -5 was very wet and windy. All roads have turned into a skating rink, and when you look around the feeling that the whole city poured water and immediately frozen.

In Astrakhan, if anyone knows, has a citadel of white stone. I recommend everyone to visit this place, very beautiful.

China — this is a very unique country, famous throughout the world. It has many characteristics, which single it out from the other countries. First this is the most populated country and because of this reason there is a big number of the Chinese, who move to other countries and settle there. China also belongs to a small number of states governed by the Communists. Its area is more than nine million square kilometers and it is the fourth biggest country on our planet. The territory of this state is regarded the cradle of our civilization, which appeared on the shores of the third-longest Yellow River located in Asia. Another superior characteristic of China is its most complex and largest economy, and it will not be a surprise for someone that this is the world’s greatest exporter of goods. One more superlative form will be used to describe the army of the state, as being a nuclear weapon country, there is the biggest standing army and the defence budget is rated number two in the whole world. Is not it interesting to know more about China?  

Китай — это очень уникальная страна, известная во всем мире. Он обладает многими характеристиками, которые выделяют его из других стран. Во-первых, это наиболее населенная страна в мире и по этой причине существует большое число китайцев, которые переезжают в другие страны и обосновуються там. Китай также принадлежит к небольшому числу государств, которыми руководят коммунисты. Его площадь превышает 9 миллионов квадратных километров и он является четвертой по величине страной на планете. Территория государства считается колыбелью нашей цивилизации, которая возникла на берегах третьей по протяженности реки Хуанхэ, которая находится в Азии. Еще одной превосходной характеристикой Китая является его наиболее сложная и крупнейшая экономика, и неудивительно, что он является крупнейшим в мире экспортером товаров. Еще одна превосходная форма будет использована для описания армии государства,поскольку это сирана с ядерным оружием, здесь находится самая большая постоянная армия, а оборонный бюджет занимает второе место во всем мире. Разве не интересно узнать еще больше о Китае?
