                                          My Hobby Is Drawing

People have hobbies because it is a way to relax or keep fit or have fun. Besides, hobbies help us to make new friends and to learn new things.

My hobby is drawing. I started to draw when I was three years old. I used to draw on any scrap of paper that I could find. I took coloured pencils or wax crayons and drew pictures of my favourite toys, animals, my family.

I still like drawing with pens and pencils more than painting, although I have been painting in watercolours for a few years.  

I can say that I draw a lot. When I have free time, I open my sketchbook and start drawing. It makes me happy and helps me to relax.

Мое хобби — рисование. Я начал(а) рисовать, когда мне было три года. Я рисовал(а) на любых клочках бумаги, которые только мог(ла) найти. Я брал(а) цветные карандаши или восковые мелки и рисовал(а) мои любимые игрушки, животных, мою семью.

Мне по-прежнему нравится рисовать ручками и карандашами больше, чем красками, хотя я рисую акварелью уже несколько лет.

Я могу сказать, что много рисую. Когда у меня появляется свободное время, я открываю свой скетчбук и начинаю рисовать. Это делает меня счастливым (счастливой) и мне расслабиться.

Her name is Maria Smirnova. She is 12 years old and she lives in the beautiful town of St Petersburg. Her daily routine is the typical of most students her age. She gets up at 7:00 a.m. and after a quick breakfast she walks to school. School starts at 8:00 a.m. and finishes at 2:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. There are 30 students in her class and they have 6-7 lessons. Each lesson lasts 45 minuets with a 10-minute break in between. Her favorite lessons are history and maths. They are both very interesting. They have lunch at school canteen during the longer break in the afternoon. They have many exciting things to do at school after classes. On Tuesday and Thursday she has guitar lessons. After school she goes home and eats a snack before she starts doing her homework. She always has lots of homework to do and it usually takes her 2-3 hours to finish it. Around 6 o'clock in the evening she has dinner with her family. She enjoys this time because on the weekdays it's the only chance they have to relax and be together as a family. After dinner she usually watches TV. She likes watching Sports and Music shows. Sometimes she plays chess with her father. Most nights she goes to bed at 10:30 p.m. and reads for a while before sho goes to sleep.
