Facts say that Cleopatra is a Greek by origin and comes from Ptolemaic race. Her ancestor, Ptolemy | Sotir, was a childhood friend and a companion of Alexander the Great. The Ptolemaic race started to rule the Egypt after it was awarded to Ptolemy by Alexander. In 51 B.C. Cleopatra inherited the throne together with her brother and became a wise ruler for the next 21 years.
