Traditional British boarding schools are those schools that successfully teach children of the last fifteen hundred years. The oldest continuously operating school is located in Canterbury and is called King's School. It was founded in the year 597, and was granted a Royal Patent in 1541. As its name implies, these schools are full of age-old traditions, rules, and, sometimes, ghosts.

The vast majority of students - British children who have English speakers. Foreign students in such schools, as a rule, from 2% to 12%.

Many traditional schools are located in the picturesque estates far from the capitals, but not from civilization.
