Setting up a small business

Not long ago I decided to set up a small business. As I had no experience in business activities it

was difficult for me to choose an appropriate business. So I went to the lawyer’s for consultation.

After clarifying all the details of my project and my financial possibilities he recommended me

to set up a small business in the field of services. According to the lawyer anyone who wants to

set up a small business is to make sure that he/she is choosing one which will work and yield big

profit. This requires a thorough investigation into the customer’s needs. So, the first step I had to

take was to study my future customers’ needs and wants.

I knew there were many car owners in my neighborhood. Why not open a car service station? –

said I to myself, and got down to business. One of the difficulties I was faced with was lack of

money, and I had to borrow it from the bank. The next day I made a loan of 2 mln pounds, and

was “on the seventh heaven” because now I could put my project into practice.

Now at the prime of my business life I still remember my lawyer’s words: when choosing a

business weigh all pros and cons and ask yourself the questions: what kind of customers am I

going to serve upon? How many potential customers are there in my district? How shall I attract

customers? What products or services shall I offer?

Questions:

1. What did he decide to do not long ago?

2. Was he experienced in business activities?

3. Whom did he decide to consult?

4. What did the lawyer recommend him to do?

5. What difficulties did he encounter when starting his business?

6. Why was he “on the seventh heaven” when he solved his money problems?

7. What words of the lawyers do you still remember?

Henry white has already lived for months on bread and water. The observation he gave this diet  not because I was sick, but because he had no work. Such a life, of course, told on him. Today he felt that, if you do not turn up to be a happy occasion something to eat, he won't stop...

After wandering around the city for about an hour, Henry found himself in front of the window of the restaurant. At the sight of fried chicken (a roasted chicken) in the window he started to get dizzy. Through sparkling glass Windows he saw the ode to th in the latest fashion of ladies and gentlemen... No, Resto wounds was, for him, unattainable. Suddenly his head came a happy thought...

He went down the street and after a while got to a cheaper restaurant where nobody could

would distinguish his clothes from other visitors. The restaurant was half-empty, though at many tables there were cards with the words "busy". As Henry walked to a free table, it seemed to him that all looking at him. In fact, nobody paid him any attention. Sad, the waiter approached the table and asked what he wants to order. "Steak," replied Henry, with a trembling voice, not even glancing at the menu, which offered him a waiter. Henry instantly killed with a steak and again called the waiter. "One more steak," he said. The waiter surprised look fire on the empty plate, and following his gaze, Henry realized that he had made a mistake. "Get the tea," he added quickly. The waiter rushed to the kitchen...

The second steak had encouraged Henry, but he's still feeling satisfy yourself hungry. After a few minutes of vibrations niya, he decided.

"I am ashamed of my appetite,— SPO Coyne said he approached the waiter.— Be Liu bezna, give me a third steak."

From the third steak Henry really enjoyed it. Again he called the waiter and asked for a Cup of coffee and three cakes. Henry did not notice that the manner waiter changed. Henry was so happy that he didn't notice also that the waiter on the way into the kitchen and went into the office and came out with spending some gentleman who was at the door of the restaurant. When Henry was going to stand in front of him was the waiter presented the bill: "Two dollars and thirty cents." Instead of having to pay the bill, Henry said: "I Wonder, with your host, nice to talk to?" This issue was quite unexpected. "You see,' continued Henry,— I have no money, and I would like to see your master...", but the official ant was already far away... Henry realized that he ran over the owner and that the owner will call the police, but fatigue and unusual dinner -effect on him. He felt that falls asleep involuntarily...

A. S. Pushkin is the greatest Russian poet. But I hope no one is challenging the view that he occupies an outstanding place in Russian literature and culture.

Every summer in June, thousands of people visit the Pskov land. They come here to the village of Mikhailovskoye to the wonderful festival of poetry, to see the places where he lived and worked.

Pushkin is always alive for us, he is the man we all know and love, the greatest of poets. Generations come and go, but Pushkin still remains. We are all grateful to Pushkin for each line of his works. Pushkin is not only a great poet for us. He is the perfect man combining brilliant talent with civil courage. His name is associated with our love for the Motherland, and the best in our life.

Hundreds of new concepts, hundreds of new words have appeared in the language in the years that have passed since his death, but not a single word of his poetry has become obsolete. Everything written by Pushkin continues to live. It has not become something of the past, it does not need any corrections and hardly needs commentary. His feelings and his views still correspond to our own feelings and views.

We admire the great world of Pushkin's poetry as a whole, each of us finding some special lines for ourselves, lines showing his sympathy and respect for his people. The reader cannot imagine his inner world without him.
