Heydar Alirza oglu Aliyev was born on 10 may 1923 in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan SSR. ( 10.05.1923 year - 12.11.2003 years )Graduated from the local pedagogical College and then the historical faculty of the Baku state University. In 1938-1941, he attended the Azerbaijan industrial Institute. After M. Azizbayov. In 1941-1944, he was head of Department of Council of people's Commissars of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic, and since 1944 he worked in the state security bodies of Azerbaijan, where he rose from an ordinary employee to the General and the Chairman of the Republican KGB. In 1976-1982. was a candidate member of the Politburo, and in 1982-1986 - member of the Politburo, first Deputy Chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers. In 1990, came from the ranks of the Communist party returned from Moscow home. In 1990-1993, he was Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and simultaneously was Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of Azerbaijan. On 15 June 1993 he was elected Chairman of the Supreme Council of Azerbaijan. From June 24, 1993, he was acting President of the Azerbaijan Republic. In October 1993, he was elected President of Azerbaijan. Again this post was re-elected in October 1998. Had two children (son and daughter) and six grandchildren.In April 1999, in Cleveland (Ohio, USA) to Heydar Aliyev underwent coronary artery bypass surgery. There he was delivered in August of this year from the Turkish hospital "Gulhane", where he passed a course of treatment after an acute heart attack that happened to him last summer during one of his public speeches.The body of the Heydar Aliyev delivered from the US in Baku on Sunday by a special flight. At the airport the plane was met by members of the state Commission for the funeral of the former President, headed by his son, current President Ilham Aliyev, representatives of the government and Parliament. The first plane came Ilham Aliyev with his wife and children - two daughters and a son. Directly from Baku airport, the funeral procession headed to the town mosque Taza PIR, where the deceased said goodbye to his family and friends.
