После падения Римской Империи в 410 г. н. э. англо-саксонские варвары вторглись в Британию. Легендарные короли и принцы, такие как король Артур, одержали ряд важных побед против саксонцев, но постепенно эти истинные «британцы» были вытеснены на запад, к горам Уэльса.
