Past Simple применяется для обозначения действий, которые произошли в в определенное время, например

Определенное время - 2 недели назад.

Present Perfect применяется для обозначения действий, произошедших в неоределенное время, например

I have bought a new car - Я купил новую машину

А когда купил - никому не скажу.

Past Simple применяется для обозначения состояния или привычки, которые имели место в и к настоящему отношения не имеют, например,

When Peter was young he lived in a small flat - Когда Петя был молодым, он жил в маленькой квартире.

Молодыми были все, в А сейчас чуть по старше и тем не менее не вернуть.

Present Perfect применяется для обозначения действий, которые были совершены в но так недавно, что их признаки налицо в настоящем, например,

Если Вы покрасили комнату еще вчера, нет ничего лучше Past Simple.

Past Simple применяется при перечислении действий, произошедших в друг за другом, например

Так что если соберетесь что то перечислять, Past Simple Вам

Present Perfect применяется для обозначения действий, которые начались в и продолжаются в настоящем, например

I have lived here for two years - Я живу здесь два года

Это в том случае, если Вы жили и еще живете здесь, то есть действие продолжается в настоящем. А вот если Вы год жили в Австралии, то правильно будет так:

I lived in Australia for one year - Я год жил в Австралии (сейчас не живу)

Past Simple применяется для обозначения действий, произошедших в без указания конкретного времени, причем это действие уже не может повториться ни в настоящем, ни в будущем, например

Present Perfect применяется для обозначения действий, произошедших в без указания конкретного времени, причем это действие может повториться в будущем или настоящем, например

I have met Madonna - Я встретил Мадонну.
