Write negative sentences with full verb forms. Don't use full stops, they are given.

1. Scott and Lucy are reading comics.

1. Scott and Lucy are not reading comics.
- We form a negative sentence by adding "not" after the helping verb "are" in this case.
- "Scott and Lucy" remains the subject of the sentence, while "reading comics" remains the main action in the sentence.

2. Sally is not choosing a present at the moment.
- Again, we add "not" after the helping verb "is" to form a negative sentence.
- "Sally" remains the subject, while "choosing a present" is the main action.

3. I am not combing my hair now.
- Once again, we use "not" after the helping verb "am" to create a negative sentence.
- "I" is the subject, while "combing my hair" is the main action being negated.

In all of the examples, we are negating the action by adding "not" after the helping verb. This changes the meaning of the sentence to indicate that the action is not taking place.
