Mr Jones 1went to a restaurant one day. He 2  left his coat near the door. There 3 was nothing in the pockets of his coat when he 4 left  it, so he 5 was very surprised when he 6 took his coat after the meal and 7 found the pockets full of money! There 8 was a waiter near the door, so Mr Jones 9 said to him 'Somebody 10 has made a mistake. He 11 put some money in my coat. 12 has taken it and when he  comes back, 14 give it to him'' The waiter 15_ took  it and 16 went  away. Suddenly another man 17 came in with a coat just like Mr Jones's. ''I 18 am sorry'', said the man. ''I 19 have made  a mistake. I 20 have taken  your coat and you have got mine. Please, 21 give my coat back.'' Mr Jones 22 answered, "I 23 have given  the money to the waiter. He 24 will give it to you.'' Mr Jones 25 called  the manager of the restaurant. And to their surprise the manager 26 said  that they didn't have any waiters but only waitresses at that restaurant. So Mr Jones 27 understood  that he had given the money to a thief.

1. Previously, he lived in London. For many years he worked there, until I moved to Manchester.
2. Last time he played basketball two years ago. Since then, he's played only tennis.
3. When they arrested him? – Last week. Watched him since the beginning of the year, but didn't touch until he tried to leave the country. And I always considered him an honest man.
4. Yesterday he went to the library. There were a lot of visitors. Yeah, vacation started two weeks ago, but some students have still not passed the exam and continue to prepare for them.
5. Two years ago they lived in South America. They recently returned. 6. Where was he last year? – In the hospital. He did not seek medical attention until his illness became too serious. He has still not quite recovered.
