I'm writing from Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. We're staying in a large hotel on Khreshchatyk Street. This is the main street of the city. Kyiv looks like a huge park with its chestnut trees. Yesterday we visited the Kyiv — Pecherska Lavra. The complex of this monastery are really unique. We saw the official residence of the Ukrainian goverment. It is located in a very beautiful architecture building Mariyinsky palace. We were impressed by great number of cathedrals and churches. They represent that Kyiv is the center of Orthodox Church.

I want to tell you about my friend's family. My friend's name is Tom. His family is big. There are five of them. He has mother, father and two sisters. His mother's name is Ann. His father is Alex. They are thirty-nine years old.
